Who am I?

I have always had an inherent connection to humanity and I do not remember a time in my life when creativity, coinciding with empathy, wasn't at the forefront of my life. I've always wanted to do work that was inspiring, and I thrive in the midst of creative endeavors. This has spanned the realms of acting, filmmaking, teaching, and culminating in my ultimate passion: creating learning solutions for businesses. Having experience in both the education and filmmaking industries has afforded me an abundance of opportunities to hone a variety of skills where my creativity, empathy, and ability to problem-solve really shine. I have found Instructional Design and developing eLearning to be the perfect amalgamation of what I love to do and I flourish when creating engaging learning experiences, with heart.

Alas, I've always found writing about myself rather difficult, so I have delegated the remainder of authoring my "About Me" to my former supervisor, and longtime business partner, Dick Mays.

"I first met Ashley Hamilton when my casting director picked her to play the lead role in the first short film I ever made. Later, when it came time to write my first feature film, my mentor recommended that I cast Ashley to play the lead due to her ability to play a highly empathetic character. Over the years, I have learned that caring about others is a natural part of Ashley's personality, and it serves her well as an actress, filmmaker, and content creator. Thus, I wrote the screenplay Hubcap, with Ashley in mind for the lead character. She ended up taking over the casting process, which was one of the most professionally handled aspects of the film, as well as locking down our filming locations. It was in post-production, however, that Ashley made her greatest contribution by editing the entire film. We premiered Hubcap at the 2021 Orlando Film Festival where it won an award for Most Outrageous Feature, with Ashley being Editor, Lead Actress, and a Producer of the film.

Ashley is a caring individual with great discipline, high intelligence, great creativity and a passion for excellence. It came as no surprise to me to learn she put herself through an undergraduate program with a perfect 4.0 GPA. In a former life, I was the CTO of a software company and have written many letters of recommendation. I would put Ashley at the top tier in my endorsement of her intelligence, character, and work ethic. She will no doubt blow away anyone who chooses to hire her to author an eLearning course, or to edit a film."
